As someone who is not experienced with submitting problems to olympiads, I have a couple of questions:

  • What does "subtasks along with their expected difficulty" mean?
  • If my problem idea is rejected, will I get any kind of feedback on that (too standard, doesn't follow the IOI syllabus, too confusing etc.)?
  • Will you invite problem setters under 18 years of age to the competition (with guardian's permission of course)?

    • Even hard problems can have easy subtasks. Ideally you propose suitable subtasks for the problem and also indicate their difficulty (Eg just labeling them "very easy", "easy","medium"... or estimating what percentage of the participants you think should be able to solve the task)
    • We try to give useful feedback in particular if there was a specific reason we rejected a problem
    • Yes, we will invite problem authors who are under 18
