What just happened?

So I tried to open CF for the last two hours and was getting an error message which stated that due to some hardware issue, CF will be unavailable until 10 January 2017. That made me REALLY sad.....

I spent thirty minutes contemplating what I'd do in winter break, and squirmed at the idea of migrating to other websites. Please don't troll us CF :(

That estimated fixing time was really scary! Jan 11 next year! WOW. I was starting to worry if their servers were ok or not .... what else needs 40 days to fix!?
