Can someone clear my simple doubt ?

During a contest , whether penalty is cut from the total score or only from the score of the problem on which I was penalized.

Suppose during a contest , I submit problem A and then solve problem B . I get penalty for problem C and then the contest ends . So , will the -50 for the penalty will be cut from the total score that I have achieved or no points will be deducted because I did not submit the correct solution of problem C.

Please help !!

no it won't count -50 is applied only if you solve the problem after some wrong answers

    It means no matter how many times I make wrong submissions , there will not be any change in my total score . Penalty will be only be added if I make correct submission to that problem only. Right ?

      yes wrong submissions in a problem you didn't manage to solve before the end of contest don't count
