I think there should be an extra check when changing your email. Make sure that you want to change your email from your old one too. This is important because if someone gets your password, they might change the password and email with a new one. You won't have a way to get your account back, except if you're already logged in, which doesn't happen all the time.

You can refer this He still had access. However, this issue is serious.. Displace lost his account. But make sure you logout at public places and ur password is only with you. Good luck on your way to negative UPD : I feel this account is hijacked xD
Not entirely sure on it tbh. Maybe a new update, but as per displace words he still had access because he had clicked on remember me for a month. At last, I agree with u that two factor authentication is a solution to this issue.
