Dedicated to my fellow blues:

I'm just a blue.
Yes, I'm only a blue.
And I'm sitting here observing my queue.
Well, it's a long, long journey
To be a candidate master.
It's a long, long wait
Before escape from disaster,
But I know I'll be a purple some day
At least I hope and pray that I do
But today I am still just a blue.

Gee, Blue,
You certainly have a lot of patience and courage.

Well, I got this far.
When I started I wasn't even a blue
I was just a gray
Some folks back home decided they wanted a purple son
So they called their gang on WhatsApp, and they said
You're right, there oughta be a purple.
Then he sat down
And wrote me out and introduced me to Codeforces.
And I became a blue, and I'll remain a blue
Until they decide to make me a purple.

I'm just a blue
Yes I'm only a blue,
And I got a massive waiting long-line o’ queue.
Well, now I'm stuck being lazy
And I'll sit here and wait
While a few Codeforces contests decides my fate

Whether they should let me be a purple.
How I hope and pray that they do,
But today I am still just a blue.

Watch those Codeforces standings!
Is that entire leaderboard about you?

Yeah, I'm one of the lucky ones.
Most blues never even get this far.
I hope they decide to give me favorable delta
Otherwise I may retire.

Retire?

Yeah, retire to my queue.
Ooh, but it looks like I'm gonna continue!
Now I go to my friends list
And see my place.

If you placed well, what happens?

Then I take another contest and the whole thing starts
All over again.

Oh no!

Oh yes!

I'm just a blue
Yes, I'm only a blue
And if my contest plan comes through
Well, then I’m off to the system tests
Where I’ll watch my friends’ places
With a lot of other blues
Pray my code passes edge cases
And if it does, then I’ll be a purple
How I hope and pray that I do
But today I am still just a blue.

You mean even if in every contest you get
Purple performance, you can still remain a blue?

Yes, that's called an FST.
If I fail system tests
I have to go back to practice
And take another contest
And by that time you're so old …

By that time it's very unlikely that you'll become a purple.
It's not easy to become a purple, is it?

No!

But how I hope and pray that I do,
But today I am still just a blue.

Thank you for inspiring me to climb back to blue and eventually to purple TooFast!!! I was once a blue but I have recently dropped to cyan :(

I m just a Cyan , I am the colors of the sea, bright Cyan, Sunny and see through, No secrets or scars. Six feet under, But can still see, The stars. After all this being true , I still wanna be blue. ;)
